I would like to explain to everyone that I am a huge fan of Dr. Eric Liu. However, when I was diagnosed with NET cancer 20 years ago Dr. Liu was not here in Denver. I have always gone to UCH and they have kept outstanding records of my five surgeries as well as my PRRT treatments and my other treatment plans. My first oncologist, Dr. Tom Purcell, who was promoted to a position in Seattle, always used to tell me, “Lela, If it is not broken why change it.” For this reason, I have stayed with UCH and I have been happy with the consistency of my care.
That being said, I am honored and grateful that Dr. Tyler Friedrich, my oncologist at UC Health Highlands Ranch Hospital, has agreed to be our guest speaker. We are
appreciative for an oncology physician to give up his time on a Saturday to speak to us. As all of you know, NET tumors are complex and rare. For me, listening to an oncologist speak provides support to us as well as nurturing words of Hope.
We are forever grateful to NET researchers and physicians who are always studying to find pathways to improve our care.
UCH Hospital at Highlands Ranch is located off of C470 on Lucent Blvd. We will be in the the Summit Conference Rooms A and B. from 1:00 to 3:00.
Drive south on Lucent Blvd. and turn left on Park Central Drive. Turn right into the hospital’s main parking lots. Keep driving past the main door and enter into the two story parking garage located on the South edge of the front door.
Handicap parking is located by a side automatic door of the hospital. Please enter the hospital by going into this door. You will walk into a second automatic door and walk
20 steps to the conference rooms.
